Oak Hirst Homestead is a small family business located in Poplar Grove, IL.  We specialize in Orpington fertile hatching eggs and chicks.  We also offer New Zealand kits and breeding rabbits spring and fall.

We chose the Orpington breed for its gentle nature and they are great with children, even the roosters are more docile then most breeds.  Our Orpingtons come in Lavender, Brown, and Black colors.  We do cross breed a couple Ameraucana chickens to breed Easter Eggs for the colorful eggs.
